6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday

In this role, the CAD technician will create or edit 3D CAD models various purposes. In general, these models will be created for:

* Gating / pathways for metal fluid simulations
* Submitted to fabrication shops to build out of wood or plastic
* Holding Fixtures to support small or large objects while painting, cleaning, or drying
* Templates, guides, or gauges for production
* 3D Printing objects in either cured sand or PLA plastic

When a model is created for use in production, process instructions should be given to ensure the proper handling procedures will be enforced.

Required Skills:
* 1 Year of experience using 3D-CAD Software for design (SolidWorks, Siemens NX recommended)
* Experience creating, reading, and interpreting blueprints / engineering drawings for machining or fabrication
* Ability to create 3D-CAD models by reverse engineering physical objects using traditional measuring tools and/or engineering drawings
* Able to adapt skills to cover a variety of projects
* Willing to physically extract and test products made from models
* Able to write operating instructions in Word for objects made for production
* Organizational skills
* Competency with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel

Desired but not Required:
* Familiarity with 3D printing and 3D scanning
* Familiarity with fluid simulation software
* Familiarity with the sand casting process for aluminum and magnesium aerospace and automotive parts
* General understanding of fluid and thermodynamics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
